About Me.

Our journey is a testament to God's unexpected plans. I never had a goal of living the life that we do! What began as a two-income, public-school family shifted dramatically in 2020, leading us to homeschool our two children and embrace homestead life in Wyoming. I've always intuitively wanted to do what made sense to me, and have always asked “why” questions. This persuasion to question led us to choose homebirths with both of our children in Colorado. A desire to raise our kids in a safer and smaller town perpetuated our move to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 2015, where, little by little we started our homestead.

Now, amidst cows, chickens, ducks, and turkeys, we strive for self-sufficiency, raising our own beef and chicken, and milking our family cow. My personal journey with autoimmune diseases has fueled a passion for creating an environment that’s as free of chemicals as I can get, which, if I let it can lead me down an infinite number of rabbit holes, so yes, I pick my battles. This means making as many things as I can from scratch. This includes tallow soap—sold through Only Good, Goods and Services, LLC—homemade bread (though sourdough remains a challenge I have not succeeded at yet!), bone broth, dishwasher and laundry soap, toothpaste, mouthwash, and anything else I can learn to make. I have an aspiring green thumb and plant a garden every year, although the short Wyoming growing season poses challenges of its own. I dream of building a year-round greenhouse one day!

At the foundation of all of this, our daily focus remains on cultivating a home rooted in truth, a biblical worldview, the value of hard work, respect, and kindness. Each morning, I seek to serve God's will, grateful for His grace when I fall short every single day.
